This puppy is a purebred Basset Hound able to be registered with the American Kennel Club.
MCB Hounds has made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy.
All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian prior to leaving my facilities.
MCB Hounds guarantees that all vaccinations and worming are current. MCB Hounds does NOT cover ANY infectious diseases including, but not limited to, Parvovirus and Corona Virus, because they can be contracted immediately after leaving our facilities.
MCB Hounds further guarantees this puppy for 1 year (from date of birth) of any hereditary/genetic problems that are severe enough that both the buyer and seller's veterinarians agree that the dog must be put to sleep, and in such event, MCB Hounds will replace the puppy (no moneys will be refunded) with another of the same breed, quality, and sex. The replacement will be subject to availability. If it is found the puppy's condition is due to obesity or an accident caused by the buyer, the puppy will not be replaced.
MCB Hounds will not be responsible for any life-threatening hereditary/genetic problems which are diagnosed after the puppy has reached his/her first birthday.
MCB Hounds is not responsible for any vet bills for the puppy after leaving our care, under all circumstances.
All hernias (naval & ingle) will be repaired before leaving if found by my veterinarian. Hernia repairs do not warrant a replacement puppy as it is not a life threatening hereditary/genetic defect and in no way interferes with the quality of life of the puppy.
MCB Hounds does not guarantee the puppy's ultimate adult size, color, temperament, or fitness for breeding.
BUYER OBLIGATIONS:
It is the buyer’s responsibility to have this puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian of their choice within 48 hours of taking possession of this puppy. If the sale transaction takes place on Friday and the following Monday is a holiday the buyer will be given an extra 24 hours to have the puppy examined. If the puppy is found to have life threatening hereditary/genetic problems at this exam, buyer shall provide MCB Hounds with the veterinarian's written evaluation of the puppy within 24 hours of such examination. The puppy shall be promptly returned at no expense to MCB Hounds, along with registration papers. Pending verification by MCB Hounds veterinarian, MCB Hounds will replace the puppy. The Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees and/ or crate fees needed to deliver the puppy safely to MCB Hounds.
Buyer shall provide the puppy with routine preventative care, such as, but not limited to:
Annual physical examinations by a licensed Veterinarian.
Follow Veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and de-worming.
Buyer must feed the puppy a good quality pet food.
The Buyer agrees to inform MCB Hounds in writing of any titles or awards obtained by the puppy for our breeding records.
AKC papers will be supplied or a copy of the litter application will accompany the puppy. This puppy was purchased as a pet on limited AKC registration, at a reduced pet price, it is understood that the puppy is not to be used for breeding and that the offspring will not be eligible for registration. Entries in some AKC dog events are also restricted on a limited registration. It is recommended that this puppy be spayed/neutered at approximately six months of age. AKC papers were marked limited and are provided as a courtesy, as proof that your puppy is a pedigree puppy.
Violations of the terms of this contract renders all guarantees stipulated in this contract to be null and void.
This contract is valid for original purchaser that purchased the puppy from MCB Hounds. If the puppy is sold or transferred to another's care this contract is null and void.
This contract is legally binding. Any and all litigation will only be heard in the county of Jones, in the state of Iowa at the buyer's expense.
I, the undersigned, being at least 18 years of age have read this contract and agree to all terms and conditions in full.
